On April 30, 2016 a traditional spring culture festival started in the International Roerich Memorial Trust, Naggar, Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, India whose two-days programme was dedicated to the significance and relevance of the ideas of the Roerichs.

30.04.2016  Lyubov Talimonova’s Exhibition Opens in the International Roerich Memorial Trust

On Saturday, April 30, 2016 as a part of the spring festival celebrated in the Roerich Estate in Naggar the exhibition of the reproductions of paintings by Lyubov Talimonova “Wanderings of a Happy Soul” had its grand opening. Mr. Sergei V. Karmalito, Senior Counsellor, Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of India, Mrs. Natalya Cherkashina, Acting Director, Museum named after Nicholas Roerich, Moscow, and renowned Indian scholars Prof. Suneet Chopra and Prof. Arun Mohanty were the esteemed guests of the ceremony.

25-31.05.2016  Halyna Chaudhary’s “Inspiration” in Naggar

In May 25-31, 2016 the International Roerich Memorial Trust, Naggar, hosted the exhibition of pictorial works by the Delhi-based Ukrainian artist Mrs. Halyna Chaudhary titled “Inspiration.” The paintings and drawings displayed in the exhibition traced the major milestones of Halyna’s career as an artist and the crucial points of her life and spiritual journey.

On June 5, 2016 the solo exhibition of the renowned artist from Chandigarh Prof. Sadhna Sangar, Joint Director, Сolleges, Punjab, Secretary, Punjab Lalit Kala Akademi, Chandigarh, and President of “We,” the group of contemporary women artists, opened in the Himalayan Roerich Estate in Naggar.

On June 4-10, 2016 the International Roerich Memorial Trust, Naggar, hosted the painting exhibition of the Manali-based artist Mrs. Anuradha Thalwal. The guest of honour at the opening ceremony was Mrs. Sadhna Sangar, a famous artist from Chandigarh, and a culture figure actively helping young artists to find their place in the world of art.

In June 11-16, 2016 the International Roerich Memorial Trust, Naggar, hosted the solo exhibition of paintings by the Sonepat based artist Reena Chaudhary titled “Inspiration”.

21-26.06.2016  Exhibition-cum-Workshop in Roerich Estate

In June 21-26, 2016 a group of 14 artists conducted an exhibition of paintings in the International Roerich Memorial Trust (IRMT), Naggar. The group was headed by Naveen Dhiman, Secretary, Himachal Art Heritage, Sundernagar, and Prabhinder Lall, President, Artfort India, Chandigarh.  It is their 6th exhibition in the IRMT, and it coincided with their 4th workshop in the same place.

30.06.2016  Russian Volunteers in the Himalayan Roerich Estate

Over the past three years alone in close cooperation with the Indian and Russian staff of the IRMT volunteers from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tula, Vladivostok, Zarechensk, Penza, Kaliningrad, Zheleznogorsk, Orenburg, and many other cities worked in the IRMT. Employees of the International Centre of the Roerichs, Moscow, and its chapters, as well as various Roerich organizations, regularly extend considerable help to the IRMT performing various works...

29.06.2016  In Cherished Memory of Atmaram Koigade

With profound sorrow we inform the sad demise of Atmaram Koigade, the artist from Kolhapur, Maharashtra. He left for his heavenly abode aged 60 on June 24, 2016 in Manali, Distt. Kullu, Himachal Pradesh. Funeral rites were performed in Manali on June 28, 2016.

10.10.2016  “Indian Subjects, Foreign Artists”: Papers on the Roerichs Presented at the International Art Conference

A two-day international conference on “Indian Subjects, Foreign Artists” was organized by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) in New Delhi on October 10-11, 2016 to explore the contribution of various foreign artists inspired by India to the local and world art scene and to documenting India’s past. ICCR is a government organization that formulates and implements the policies relating to India’s external cultural relations.
